The American made Martin DX1 X-Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar has a solid Sitka spruce top with Martin's patented mortice/tenon neck join. With the unique A-Frame X bracing pattern you get the same hallmark tone and projection as much more expensive models. The HPL mahogany body is super durable, guaranteeing years of playing pleasure. HPL, High-Pressure Laminate, is composed of highly compressed wood fibers and is extremely durable.
Martin patented A-frame X bracing adds strength to the top as the angled bridge plate creates a "Box" under the bridge. A-Frame X bracing is used on acoustic guitars constructed with a Mortise/Tenon neck joint, like the Martin DX1 acoustic.
